I'm originally from Vancouver, Canada. I received my Master’s of Professional Writing in Sydney, Australia, and now live in Bellingham, Washington. I'm a screenwriter, a cat lover, and a pretty nice dude. I've lived in lots of places, had lots of jobs, and done lots of things. But the two things that define me best are that I'm a husband and a stay-at-home dad to three amazing kids.
After graduating from university in Vancouver, Canada, I followed my high school sweetheart to Australia as she pursued her dream of medical school. Over the years that followed, I played sidekick to my heroine as her career took us around Australia, then to the United States as she began her career as a geriatrician, her superhero cape billowing out behind her. Sometimes sidekick work isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, and each move forced me to find a new job and a new sense of purpose. This is where Poopy Fingers: One Person's Account of Working in the Delightfully Strange World of Assisted Living, begins. With a new job and a new search for purpose.
